CS2 Skin Collections

Collections — sets of skins linked by a common source (a case, an operation). Important for trade-ups and collectors.

What collections are for

A collection groups skins that come from one source — a case or an operation. This matters for two reasons. First, the trade-up contract works within a collection pool: 10 skins of the same rarity produce 1 skin one tier higher from the same collections, so the composition of the collection determines the possible trade outcomes. Second, "discontinued" collections and cases become more expensive over time because supply is limited — of interest to collectors and investors.

You can calculate a trade-up in the calculator, and the trade-up guide explains the trade logic.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is a skin collection?

A set of skins linked by a source (a case or an operation). Within a collection the skins are organized by rarity.

How are collections related to trade-ups?

A trade-up yields a skin one tier higher from the collections of the input items; the composition of the collection determines the possible outcomes and their probabilities.

Why do some collections get more expensive?

When a collection/case is removed from the drop pool, supply is limited — collector demand and price rise.

Where can you see the composition of a collection?

On the collection page — the items from our catalog with prices and links.
